CPNI Empowers Chinese Language mCommerce Market
Localized Mobile Payment Solutions Now Available For Asian Financial Institutions and Domestic Financial Institutions Requiring Support for Asian Languages Market
TORONTO, Canada, November 2, 2009 – Leading provider of mobile commerce solutions CPNI Inc. (CPNI) today announced that its Phone Authorized Transfer™ (PAT™) mobile payment software is now localized and available to Chinese financial institutions and their customers. PAT is an international, bank-branded solution for remote mobile payments.
CPNI mobile solutions are completely customizable for multi-country and multi-culture mobile financial services. Building on an already robust internationalized offering, the latest release of the PAT solution adds the support for East Asian languages. Distinguishing itself from solutions that are limited by country, language or currency, PAT is uniquely established as a truly global platform offering the flexibility to provide localization as required in any given market.
Using the customer’s phone number as an identifier, CPNI’s bank-centric product set enables people to perform person-to-person transfers via PATsend™, make purchases via PATbuy™ and access banking services via PATbank™. CPNI provides the infrastructure for individuals to initiate payments to unbanked recipients, users not yet registered for the service and people belonging to a bank that does not yet offer the service, thus broadening the number of potential customers for financial institutions.
The PAT solution set provides the ability to dynamically switch the language used on the customer’s phone by simply downloading a customized MIDlet. For WAP interactions, the PAT system detects the current language of the browser on the phone and switches the language of the WAP pages to the browser language. This feature allows financial institutions the ability to simultaneously serve multi-language markets without having to implement multiple installations of the PAT system.
“With the continued expansion of globalization, domestic only mobile payment solutions are counterintuitive. Financial institutions need a multi-country, localized solution”, said Patrick Bird, President and CEO of CPNI. “CPNI continues to set the standard by providing innovative products which support Financial Institutions around the world.”
