Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience with Java, J2ME, JUnit, Fitnesse, JMS, EJB, Web Services, Web Applications, Hibernate
  • Thorough understanding of the Object Oriented Paradigm including OO design principles and patterns
  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years experience, including hands on experience as an object-oriented developer building object oriented solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in team management/leadership roles
  • Manage an existing software development team building large, high volume solutions using J2EE technologies
  • A SCRUM-Master certification, XP-coach, or other experience with agile methods is necessary, complemented with software engineering knowledge
  • Effective experience related to testing in agile environments, ranging from TDD to Customer Acceptance Testing
  • Strong technical and non-technical communication skills. Familiarity with presenting and explaining technical concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Experience working with company executives, shareholders, and directors an asset
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
Candidates are given a written technical test on Java, Agile concepts and software design.
