Patrick Bird

President and CEO

Mr. Bird was founder and President of Isolation Systems, a provider of network security products, from 1979 until 1997. During that time, he managed the development of the first secure microcomputer co-processor which was evaluated for and certified for use by the U.S. Department of Defense. He then conceived, developed and deployed the first commercial VPN (Virtual Private Network) in a team with Cisco Systems. Isolation Systems was sold to Shiva Inc., which was later acquired by Intel. Prior to Isolation Systems, Mr. Bird was with Northern Telecom (now Nortel) in financial and systems management roles.

Robert Ferchat

Director

Robert Ferchat has served in senior executive roles in a number of companies including Northern Telecom Canada, Ford Canada and retired as Chairman and CEO of BCE Mobile Communications (Bell Mobility) in 1999. Prior to BCE Mobile Communications, Mr. Ferchat served two years as Chairman and CEO of TMI Communications, a satellite service company and before that served as chairman of Atomic Energy of Canada. In addition to CPNI, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of Brookfield Homes, Atlantis Systems Corp., ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. and AirGate PCS Inc.

Michael Foulkes

Director

Michael Foulkes is a former executive of the TD Bank Financial Group. During 30 years with TD, he held various executive positions including Executive Vice President, Group Operations and Chief Information Officer, Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking and most recently, President & Chief Executive Officer, TD Waterhouse UK. Mr. Foulkes has served as director and Chairman of Symcor Services Inc. and as a director of First Nations Bank of Canada. He currently serves as a Director and Trustee of the Davis + Henderson Income Fund and Director of The Canadian Depository for Securities Limited. In the community, Mr. Foulkes serves as a director of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Director and Chairman of Junior Achievement of Canada and Director of the Junior Achievement of Canada Foundation.

Timothy Price

Timothy Price is the Chairman of Brookfield Funds, of Brookfield Asset Management Inc (formerly Brascan Corporation) and served previously as Chairman of the boards of directors of The Edper Group Limited and Hees International Bancorp Inc. Mr. Price has had over 30 years of management experience with the Brascan Group of companies and is active on several other public corporate boards, including: Astral Media Inc., Brookfield Homes Corporation, Morguard Corporation and Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited. In the community, Mr. Price serves on the York University Board of Governors, the St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation Board and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation Board.
